Flowers with Atlantic Hearts

I'm in love with Michelle's sketch this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I followed the sketch to the letter - even including flowers.

I can't get enough of the January stamp of the month, Adore You.  The little flowers were stamped 12 times, coloured with Shin Han markers and then fussy cut.

I adhered each flower individually, and highlighted with a bitty sparkle dot in the centre.

The twine is from my stash retired from CTMH.  The sentiment is also from Adore You.  This is a set you are going to use over and over again.  Get it before it's gone!!!

Round & Round

The theme this week at Heart 2 Heart Challenges is "round and round".  I decided to use the new paper collection, Some Kinda Wonderful for all the circles on one of the patterned papers.

For my thank you card I used two of the patterns from the collection, the circle and the black droplet patterns.  I backed both onto raspberry cardstock and then onto the white card base.

The sentiment is from In Bloom with the shape cut with thinlets from Hello Lovely Cardmaking set.

I also used the cute black dots from the new black & white dots embellishment.   To finish off I cut a couple strips of the black shimmer trim.

I'd love to see your project at Heart 2 Heart Challenges - simply click on the link to add your artwork.

Enjoy,

In Bloom with AHSC

It's sketch challenge time with Atlantic Hearts.  I have been working with the new paper collection, Sugar Rush.  This collection has grown on me with the great patterned papers, complements and embellishments.
Ta Dah!!!  I wanted my image from In Bloom stamp set to be the focus for my card, so I kept everything muted.  I added a pop of colour backing the block with crystal blue cardstock, keeping the embellishments similar to highlight the colouring.

To show how versatile this stamp set is, I kept going....

This time I used one of the Picture My Life cards, cutting down to size.  The image this time is backed with tangerine cardstock.  I used coral shimmer trim, and again the glimmer gems from Sugar Rush.

But wait, there's more...  This time I used the glacier coloured cardstock and red shimmer trim and backed the image with cranberry cardstock.  The glitter gems are again from Sugar Rush.

So, don't overlook the smaller stamp sets as one dimensional - they are truly very versatile.  Now get our your colouring tools and get to creating.

Enjoy,

Jennifer

Sugar Rush

I'm thrilled to participate in my first blog hop with Team Brae'er.  We're featuring one of the new paper collections, Sugar Rush.  If you've come here from Heather's Paper Playroom you're on the right path.  The hop is a circle so enjoy checking out everyone's Sugar Rush projects.

The twist and flip card is so much fun to make and provides a big surprise when opened.

Different colour sparkled donuts are so cute on this patterned paper.  I backed it with pomegranate and seaglass cardstock.

I used the coordinating glitter gems and washi tape to finish of the front.

Cute confetti and word sentiment patterned papers backed with the pomegranate cardstock were used on the inside flip out portion of the card.

"Birthday" is cut from the Flower Market cricut collection from the seaglass glitter paper.

This is the working part of the card - each piece folds into each other to lay flat for mailing.

The card finished is a standard A2 and fits perfectly in the envelope.

Enjoy the hop and move on to  Brae Montgomery

Season of White

The challenge for this week at Heart2Heart Challenges is "Season of White".  You can interpret this challenge lots of different ways.  I decided to do a card only of white, which was tougher than it sounds.  There is always the urge to add colour, but I resisted.

I used the January stamp of the month, Adore You and embossed in white the cute heart and flowers.  I pulled out my stash of embellishments and added two white pearls to the centre of  the flowers, and two white butterflies.

The white cardstock base is attached to a white A2 size card, with the centre focal also backed in another layer of white, popped up with thin foam tape.

We would love for you to join us this week at Heart2Heart Challenges with your season of white project.  Follow the link to add your artwork.  http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.ca/

Sketchy Time

Happy New Year!!!  It's time for the first sketch of 2017 with Atlantic Hearts Challenge.  Michelle has once again come up with a winner.

This weeks' sketch is clean and simple - my favourite!!!  I think this type of sketch lets the creativity flow.

Fussy it up or keep it simple.

I'm so excited to share some new products from the Seasonal Expressions 1!!!

Introducing Sugar Rush - a fun paper package filled with patterned paper of donuts, sprinkles, yummy sentiments and great geometric patterns.

The donut embellishments were cut from the paper and popped with thin foam tape.

"Happy Birthday" is a new thin cut available in the new SE1.   I'm in love with this great set.

Enjoy,

Jennifer

Silver & Gold

Happy New Year!!! Wow 2017!!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.   I for one am looking forward to what this year will bring.  We are anxiously awaiting our first grandbaby in April. I can't wait to look into those precious eyes for the first time.  2017 will also bring wedding bells in August so we will be knee deep in preparations and planning soon!!!!

Heart2Heart Challenges is starting 2017 off with silver & gold!!!  Close to My Heart has two fundamental papers that feature silver and gold which you could use, or just use silver and/or gold in your projects.
So, one of the rules around our house is; no playing with Christmas goodies until the thank you card has been sent!!!  I'm ready with my cards so I can play right away.

For my card I used the new gold sparkle gems - love, and gold embossed the sentiment from the stamp set All the Thanks.

It's difficult to see, but I embossed the white piece to make a panel to set off the thank you.  The gold & white striped paper is from the retired National Papercrafting Month special.

A clean & simple card ready to go!!!  Now, it's time to play with all my new toys!!!

Enjoy,

Jennifer
